Overview

Earth-Rite® II PLUS Static Grounding Solutions 

The Earth-Rite II PLUS is designed to ground railcars, LACT units, skids and IBCs during loading and unloading operations in order to dissipate any static electricity.

Isolated conductive metal objects that come into contact with electrostatically charged liquids can accumulate high levels of electrostatic charge.

If an ungrounded object is allowed to accumulate electrostatic charges, the voltage present on the object rises dramatically in a very short space of time. Because the object is at a high voltage, it is seeking to find ways of discharging this excess energy and the most efficient way of doing this is to discharge the excess charge in the form of a spark.

High Intensity Flashing Green LEDs                                                                                                                                                                     

• Three attention grabbing green LEDS confirms resistance between the teeth of the clamp and the verified earth is 10 Ohms (or less)

Monitors the Ground Loop

• Monitors the resistance of the ground loop from the grounded object through to the site’s verified true earth grounding point

Interlock Capabilities

• Two dry output contacts which can be interlocked to electromechanical devices or PLC systems, to stop the flow of product should the system detect a risk of static charge accumulation
